Light housekeeping and meal preparation can become challenging for those experiencing the effects of aging. PHOENIX AGED CARE offers support for various daily activities, along with essential peace-of-mind services.
Cognitive Stimulation
We engage clients in activities that promote mental stimulation, such as puzzles, Scrabble, card games, Bridge, and reading.
Cooking
Our team can prepare meals or assist clients in cooking their own. This service may include shopping for ingredients, meal planning, and helping with dietary and nutritional needs.
Light Housekeeping
Our light housekeeping services cover tasks like dusting, vacuuming, and loading or unloading the dishwasher. However, we do not handle heavy cleaning tasks, such as window washing.
Home and Gardening Services
We offer a range of home and garden services, including gutter cleaning, general gardening and maintenance, lawn mowing, pruning, sweeping, clearing leaves, and changing lightbulbs.
Laundry Services
We can assist with laundry tasks, including sorting, ironing, and organizing the linen cupboard.
Organization
We help clients plan their daily activities, such as visits to the doctor, hair salon, bank, podiatrist, or physiotherapist, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
Safety Supervision
Preventing falls is crucial. We help by ensuring proper lighting, removing potential trip hazards like electrical cords or clutter, and securing rugs with non-slip backing. For more details, see our Fall Prevention Guide.
Socialization
We encourage clients to engage in social activities outside the home, such as visiting friends, going out for coffee, attending the theatre, or visiting the library, art gallery, or RSL.
Transportation
Our services include helping clients get to and from medical appointments, assisting with hospital discharges, and providing transportation for shopping and social visits. We can use either the caregiver’s vehicle or the client’s vehicle, depending on the situation.
Respite Care for Family Caregivers
We offer family caregivers the essential breaks they need from the responsibilities of caring for their loved ones.
